Farm-based enterprises that create local income and give young people a reason to stay.
When farms cannot feed a family for the full year, many young people leave the village for work. Some intend to migrate permanently. That loss of rural population is a serious challenge for Nepal.
Environmentally sustainable, farm-based entrepreneurship can improve household food security and keep communities intact by creating livelihoods at home.
Intended activities under this pillar will be published as programs are designed with partner communities.
